As God spoke the void gave way as the universe unrolled like an enormous scroll The emptiness was filled galaxies, nebulas, blazing suns, planets and black holes All held together by God's word of love which in the beginning was it's very soul But God looked at the beauty of His creation and said it's not yet completely whole
At first, He made some adjustments and hung a few more stars about His throne But decided these glowing suns were better placed in the darkness their real home To illuminate the planets which were at a loss to produce any light on their own God mused for a bit, dismissed the angels, the decision was His to make alone
A missing ingredient which in the universe's design would play the main role Once and awhile an angel would fly by make a suggestion but that got quickly old God knew He had to add something and put His not yet finished work on hold He talked it over with His Son and the Holy Spirit and tossed it about for ages untold
They all agreed and pointed to a very small planet that looked like a blue-green stone Called it Earth which had sufficient dry land and seas with waves capped with foam What it lacked was life: so, were created plants, fish and animals that could freely roam God looked at all and said it was good and decided to add a higher order of flesh and bone
Something in His own image formed of this earth's elements with His own hand He called it His crown of creation which became known the universe wide as man A living being with God's indwelt spirit who could the beauty of creation understand Given the authority to rule over this earth with all it's resources at his command
It would have been nice if the story ended there but all in this paradise was not well Our ancestors Adam and Eve listened to the devil and from God's good graces fell Eden's gates slammed shut, we were lost, doomed to wander through the gates of hell Separated from God by sin never to see Him again as far as any of us could tell
However, the bible reminds us that's not the way the story of mankind ends at all God made a provision called redemption for us knowing we would soon fall Via Jesus, His Son, who on the cross between us and God took down the wall But it is we who must first choose to acknowledge this: thus, answering His call
